Eva Marie and WWE Parted Ways

WWE is not “All Red Everything” anymore. Eva Marie announced a few minutes ago on Twitter she was leaving WWE. Since last March rumors have been spreading her contract would not be renewed when it would expire.

Since her debut in 2013 in the reality TV show Total Divas, Eva Marie has impressed more because of her hair colour, cleavage or attitude than for her wrestling abilities. She appeared in the very first episode of Total Divas as a “newbie” that Natalya had to take care of during Wrestlemania 29 weekend. In fact, as a part of all 6 seasons of the show, her whole career can be witnessed there, more than in RAW or SmackDown Live episodes.

She accompanied fellow Total Divas cast members Natalya, Naomi or The Bella Twins to the ring as a debut. Her first match took place at SummerSlam Axxess 2014, where she was teaming with Natalya and Maria Menounos. She also feuded with AJ Lee and Tamina Snuka. Despite her lack of wrestling skills, she competed at Survivor Series 2014 and Wrestlemania 31 in multi-women tag matches.

After a breast implant rupture, Eva Marie came back on NXT in July 2015. With the help of Nia Jax, she had her load of victories but never the one she was hoping to, in defeating Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship. She continued to appear sporadically on NXT until April 2016.

She competed at Wrestlemania 32 alongisde her fellow Total Divas co-stars in a pre-show tag match. But she didn’t really make a comeback until July 2016 and her draft to SmackDown Live. She faked injuries and incidents not to compete, as her new character. She was suspended for 30 days on August 2016 for violating WWE’s wellness policy. She has never come back on a WWE ring ever since.

She has been concentrating on her clothing line and her acting career since this suspension, goals she has never hidden and seemed to interest her more than wrestling. She was recently announced as not being apart of the cast of the seventh season of Total Divas. The show where she started her WWE career… and where she ended it forever…
