Is Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption the reverse RPG we’ve been waiting for?

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption from publisher Another Indie and developer Dark Star Game Studios, has been announced for Q1 2018.

The player takes control of Adam, a fallen soldier who must take down a series of bosses in order to save his soul in the afterlife. In a neat twist, the bosses in this boss battler, modelled after the seven deadly sins, can only be accessed by Adam after he has downgraded his stats. The reverse action RPG is a concept that has been bandied about for a while now, but hasn’t so far been popularised in the mainstream.

Still, the concept of a combat heavy video game that favours humility over aggrandizement is a fascinating concept and we at VultureHound can’t wait to see how well it works. The project, headed by former Ubisoft, Blizzard and Konami employees, is coming to PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac.
