Colin Trevorrow, who co-wrote and directed the previous movie is also co-writing the script for Fallen Kingdom alongside fellow Jurassic World scribe Derek Connolly. J. A. Bayona (The Impossible, A Monster Calls) is set to direct.
Stars of Jurassic World Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will return for the sequel alongside newcomers Toby Jones, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith and Rafe Spall. Jeff Goldblum will also reprise his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm from the first two Jurassic Park movies.
Jurassic World marked the triumphant return of the Jurassic Park franchise to the big screen and was a colossal hit, raking in 1.670 billion dollars at the worldwide box office.
Production for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is already underway (the movie started shooting in February this year) and it set to come out June 22, 2018 – exactly one year from today.
