Having spent the week alluding to some impending big announcement, Meadowlark certainly didn’t disappoint. With a new single to promote the upcoming release of their debut album, AND the chance to get involved in a music video, the Bristol based duo delivered us quite the package that we are more than happy to sign for.

Postcards‘ is the title track of the new album, due for release on June 30th. Written as an ode to an ex lover, it is a track set to break your heart. That being said, there is a blissful, upbeat air to the sweet and gentle melody, suggesting a triumph over feelings. An acceptance of having been loved, and even growing from it.

“That’s what ‘Postcards’ (the song) is all about, being brave and opening up.” – Dan Broadley (guitars and production)

Take a listen, below.

‘Postcards’ gets right down to the core of all emotion, stirring up a hurricane of feelings that you had almost forgotten about, the perfect taster for the duo’s debut album. The fact that it is a recording of the original demo adds a touch of enchantment, as if you can feel the personal emotions in the room with you.

Meadowlark announced their news with a video shared across all social media accounts, and despite being well composed, the duo shine with a spark of pure excitement. They speak of both the single and the album with such pride, as well as announcing an exciting opportunity for fans to collaborate with them on the ‘Postcards’ video, full details of which can be found on the band’s website.
