For the past year, ever since At The Drive In first announced a comeback, at the beginning of 2016, we’ve been feverishly awaiting some new material. After the early Christmas treat of ‘Governed By Contagions’, the band have released another new track – ‘Incurably Innocent’. They’ve also announced details of their first new album in 17 years.
Due May 5th, in • ter a • li • a (or inter alia, which is latin for ‘among other things’, apparently), will be the bands first album since 2000’s Relationship Of Command.
The new track, ‘Incurably Innocent’, is a frantic and melodic call to arms. With screaming riffs and heavy punches from Cedric’s iconic vocals, it appears the band have lost none of their lyrical depth and power. See (and hear) for yourself, below.
The album’s release will be immediately followed by a North American tour, beginning in At The Drive In’s native El Paso, Texas, on May 6th. The band are also set to appear at this year’s Reading and Leeds Festivals in August.
in • ter a • li • a is due May 5th via Rise Records. Pre-orders are available via the band’s official site.
