In the world of WWE he is known as Kassius Ohno, to the fans who have witnessed him on the independent scene simply know him a Chris Hero, regardless of name both sets of fans saw his surprise appearance on WWENXT as amazing.
On November 8, 2013, Ohno was released from WWE. After his release, he said that he had enjoyed the last 21 months and intended to continue with his independent career, including international dates in Europe and Japan. He always stated that the door was open to a future with the WWE saying, “In my exit interview, they said we would take a little while and revisit later on and see if things change”.
During late 2016, the rumor mill persisted that Chris Hero had signed a contract with WWE, with no party willing to comment on speculation or questions but as of January 7th all questions were answered as Ohno confronted WWENXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura at the Full Sail tapings leaving fans in awe at what they witnessed.
It has been confirmed that his last match in Evolve will be on January 28th vs Zack Sabre Jr. It is clear that night it will be a Forearm Farewell Party.
