Vomitface, are set to release their debut EP on 9 June, a record that is set to be their stamp on a new direction for indie music.
Unhappy with the way indie music was turning, Jared Micah, Preetma Singh, and Keller McDivitt, rallied together to create Vomitface, the aptly named band that shows their dissatisfaction towards indie pop. Their name also describes their kick-in-the-balls sound that fights back on what music should be, hard hitting, smart, and intense.
The five track EP was recorded in just a day, an unbelievable thing to imagine when listening to their premier track ‘Sloppy Joes’. Just a taster of what is to come, ‘Sloppy Joes’ opens up what is set to be a ground-breaking EP. Distorting from black-surf to punk to grunge, with that slight echo of the early alternative days, ‘Sloppy Joes’ is exciting, it sounds dangerous and sexy – something which has been missing from alternative/indie music for a long time.
A band that hail from America, Vomitface have taken their own path to create music that they enjoy, music that they are proud of. They have their own unique style, one that differs from anything going on the music industry right now.
