We all know how the BFI are the brilliant bastions of British ballyhoo, also known as cinema. Now they are opening up a new contest inviting film makers to create a new action sports film.
An action sports films sounds like an exciting prospect and not an idea you may think of when talking about the BFI. But here they are teaming up with Factory’s Prime and Fire, the world’s leading sports creative agency and Talenthouse, “the world’s platform for creative collaborations” to invite film and documentary makers to submit a 1-2 pitch and 300 word treatment.
So if you be a film-maker of some descript and you have the germ of an idea that can meet the critique of being a; unique, human interest revolving around a specialist or endurance sport put yourself forward and you could be in the running to win a 10K production budget and a showcase at the BFI.
10 winners will be picked with 9 film-makers winning 2K each toward their budget and all 10 winners will be screened at the BFI’s Future Film Festival in Feb 2015
