Massive Attack and Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls will headline the new music and food festival, OnBlackheath, to take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September.
Frank Turner, headlining on the Sunday, has had a huge cult following since he left his punk band The Million Dead in 2005 to go solo, and played in front of billions when he performed at London 2012’s Olympic Opening Ceremony. Massive Attack, playing on the Saturday, have sold over 12 million records.
The second stage will be DJ’d by Gilles Peterson on the Saturday and independent label Heavenly Recordings on the Sunday.
OnBlackheath have teamed up with Harvery Goldsmith, who says, “South London needed a premiere annual event and this is the first of its kind, in a fantastic landmark location.”
As well as music, the festival will showcase food from eight chefs each day, including Michelin-starred chefs Simon Hulstone and Richard Bainbridge.
