Frank Turner is most likely the coolest guy in folk-rock right now having released several notable albums, a big tour on the way, a spot in the Olympic opening ceremony and he recently shamed Mastermind with the topic of Iron Maiden.
Sailing on from his success of Tape Deck Heart that reached number 1 on the iTunes chart Frank is releasing the EP Polaroid Picture. The title track is from Tape Deck Heart and is a bittersweet song of good times and friendship and how we should saviour those precious moments together. It reminds us of our own old times and brings up a subject that many are familiar with in the rock scene about the closing of the London Astoria. Even if you are not familiar with the Astoria it touches on the idea of those places we all used to go to with mates that will always stay with us.
Accompanying Polaroid Picture are four other tracks: The Modern Leper, Plea From A Cat Named Virtute (live), Who’s Got A Match and a brand new track Sweet Albion Blues.
You can catch Frank on his incredible tour this February (Which includes the O2!) with amazing support from Celtic-punk band Flogging Molly and the hilarious folk act Beans on Toast. You do not want to miss this!
