Jupiter – Juicy Lucy (Single Review)

Hailing from Paris, English-French electronic funk duo Jupiter have released their popular single ‘Juicy Lucy’, as an exclusive UK download, in advance of embarking on a tour of the UK this week, as part of the Oui Love line-up.

‘Juicy Lucy’ is a delicious slice of dancefloor-ready electro-funk, with sexy interplay between bass and synthesizer.

Jupiter garnered significant attention on the blogosphere following the release of their debut single, ‘Starlighter’, in 2009. They have since lent their distinctive electro-funk sound to remixes for the likes of Metronomy, Two Door Cinema Club, and Anoraak. October saw the release of their E.P. Juicy Lucy (Needs A Boogieman).

Jupiter are joining Juveniles and Yan Wagner on Oui Love’s mini-tour of the UK. Oui Love is an interactive platform from France, supported by the French Music Bureau and The Institut Francais, with the aim of showcasing emerging French musical talent.

The mini tour will take in three dates across Brighton, London, and Manchester:

20 Nov – Brighton Blind, Tiger Club (in association with Melting Vinyl)
