Sea of Bees – Gone

Rating:

Julie Ann Baenziger is a young 25 year old singer and songwriter from Sacramento, California. Her voice is renowned for being high and sweet and almost angel like. However her music is dark and almost strange and she is mysterious. She taught herself to sing after being inspired by a singer in church and after moving away from home at 23, she played one-finger bass in a band. She was spotted practising one day by studio owner John Baccigaluppi who instantly saw the talent she had. She then went on to learn to play a variety of different musical instruments and began writing also. Julie Ann is now better known as the ‘Sea of Bees’ and she had her debut album ‘Songs for the Ravens’ released in 2010. ‘Songs for Ravens’ really set the ball moving for ‘Sea of Bees’ a unique country style theme mixed with some indie pop and catchy songs.

Sea of Bees now has a new single out ‘Gone’ will be released on the 5th November and is from her newest album ‘Orangefarben’ which was released earlier this year through Heavenly Recordings. The single showcases Julie Ann Baenziger’s amazing talent yet again, with this beautiful emotive uplifting song. ‘Gone’ is simply stunning and at the same time is catchy and infectious. The release of ‘Gone’ will be followed by the Sea of Bees tour, starting on the 6th November in Leeds and ending in Union Chapel in London on the 19th November. Its her biggest UK tour yet, and is not to be missed.
