It’s that time of year again. Lewisham’s infamous Fox & Firkin will host an orgy of dirty sleazy Rock n’ Roll all over your May Day Bank Holiday Weekend. 40 acts, 2 Stages and 26 hours of blood, sweat, noise and craft stalls.
South East London’s finest music Pub will be the weekend home of such boy’s, girl’s and bands as Prose the Boombap Professionals star signing and local heroes, La Mort Subite a gypsy folk band and one of the few that dare sing in the language of the old country, It Hugs Back a band formed by a partnership that started in Year 7, Blurt like Blur but with an extra consonants, the mesmerising Emma Divine and Pussycat & The Dirty Johnsons (be careful when you image search these last two by the way, it almost got me into serious trouble at work)
It promises to be one of the most diverse and intimate music festivals of the year. Every band has their own unique flavour, it’s like diving into a Ben & Jerry’s counter made of sound, no two are alike and the only consistent element is quality.
Join them won’t you?
