Sunless ‘97 – Body Weather (Single Review)

Sunless ’97, the electronic trio have reinforced their bohemian image with ‘Body Weather’; due to release in mid June. The echoey vocals create a minimalistic ambient atmosphere, ringing over synthed chords. With a moderate pace, maintaining a steady beat, Body Weather leaves you in an uplifted yet relaxed frame of mind. The loose direction of the almost atonal melody is loose: Body Weather teases conformity, securing itself in the realms of originality. Flavours comparable to the likes of Neon Indian and Broadcast combined develop a summery haze of sound. This is a great track, inspiring the mind to wander. The question is can Body Weather achieve similar popularity to ‘Wicked Gravity?’ Our (hopefully) upcoming summer will tell.
