Andreas Krapf – Illustrator Showcase

Today’s Illustrator Showcase is of Andreas Krapf.
Andreas Krapf was born in Würzburg, Germany, in 1981. After studying Communication Design at University of Applied Sciences Würzburg, and graduating in 2009, he has since been working as a freelance illustrator.
Although in the initial stages, his career is very promising and he has a flair for experimentation with different techniques and mediums and is constantly trying out new techniques in his drawings, sculpture and airbrushing projects. His focus has primarily been illustration, although he has experience in, and enjoys, typography and graphic design.
Currently he is concentrating on digital art and is involved in a lot of vector illustration work. Andreas often creates designs that can make people happy and confused at the same time. He likes a mixture of weirdness and cuteness which can be explored in most of his works.
He has setup his own online store for his art (www.denada.de) where you can buy apparel, posters, his funny illustrative toys and many more limited stuff produced in small runs. In addition to the work for his own label „denada“ he also does a lot of comissioned work for other clothing labels and fashion brands.
He has also illustrated children books, websites, worked for advertising projects and gained experience in animation.
